Registered Civil Engineer at Municipal Council or Municipal Corporation:

Municipal Council or Municipal Corporation is one the basic structure of administration in Indian Government system. No person shall carry out any development work including development of land by laying out into suitable plots or development of any land as group housing scheme or to erect, re-erect or make alterations or demolish any building or cause the same to be done without first obtaining a separate building permit / commencement certificate for each such development work / building from the Planning Authority. To ensure the technical standard related with building construction, safety, construction completion; Municipal Council or Municipal Corporation need Civil Engineers (private).

REGISTERED CIVIL ENGINEER AT MUNICIPAL COUNCIL AND MUNICIPAL CORPORATION

Qualifications for Registered Civil Engineer Licence at Municipal Council or Municipal Corporation:

  1. The qualifications for Licensing Engineer will be the corporate membership (Civil) of  the Institution of Engineers or such Degree or Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  2. Diploma In Civil Engineering or Equivalent, having experience of 10 years in the field of land and building planning.

Competence for Registered Civil Engineer Licence at Municipal Council or Municipal Corporation:

To carry out work related to development permission as given below and to submit:
  1. All plans and related information connected with development permission.
  2. Structural details and calculations for building on plot up to 500 sq. m. and up to 5 Storeys or 16 m. height, and
  3. Certificate of supervision and completion for all building.
